Ghar Aangan Bhojnalaya

We are located at Plot Number 51-H on Bhati Circle Road in the Ratanada area of Jodhpur. Being right by the Sabji Mandi in Ratanada means we get a lot of people coming in after they finish their shopping. Ghar Aangan Bhojnalaya is a very basic place where we cook the kind of food you would find in a normal home. We don't use any fancy recipes or special ingredients. It is just dal, rice, and rotis most of the time. The kitchen is small and we are always bumping into each other when it gets busy. Jodhpur gets very hot in the summer so we keep the fans running at full speed all day long. The floor is made of stone and we scrub it every night after we close. We aren't trying to be the best or the most famous, we just want to make sure the people who eat here leave with a full stomach. Sometimes the vegetables from the mandi are better on some days than others but we make do. It’s a lot of work peeling onions and potatoes all morning. We’ve been at this spot for a long time and the locals know us well. It is a noisy part of town with all the rickshaws and vendors outside but we like the energy. Just a simple bhojnalaya for regular folks. We don't have a menu really, just whatever is fresh and ready for the day's meal.
