M. A. Stone

M. A. Stone is located at Plot No. 116 in the Mama Bhanja Industrial Area. It’s a rough and tumble kind of place, like most industrial zones. We deal in all sorts of stone blocks and slabs. The yard is out in the open, so we are always at the mercy of the weather. When it rains, the ground turns to mud, and when it’s dry, the dust is everywhere. We spend our days moving heavy loads with the crane and making sure everything is stacked safely. It is a lot of physical labor, and by the end of the shift, everyone is pretty worn out. We don't have a team of salesmen or a polished office to greet people in. Usually, you will find me out in the yard or sitting in the small cabin checking the ledgers. People come to us when they need materials for a project, and we just give them a fair price and show them what we have in stock. The Mama Bhanja area is always loud with the sounds of other workshops, so you have to shout sometimes to be heard over the noise. We have been at this plot for a while, and we just keep doing what we know best. It isn't glamorous, but it is a solid way to make a living. We just focus on the stone and the daily grind of loading and unloading trucks.
