Anukul Stone Industries

We started Anukul Stone Industries here in Jhalawar a while back. Most people know us because we're right near the ITI College on Polytechnic College Road. It's a busy spot but it works for getting trucks in and out. We mostly handle stone work, cutting and sizing things for people building houses or sheds nearby. My family has been around this area for years. Sometimes the yard gets a bit dusty, especially when the wind picks up, but that's just how stone work goes. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. Usually, you'll find us out back checking the slabs or talking to the drivers who come in from the quarries. We keep a decent stock of different stones, whatever is coming out of the local earth lately. It's hard work, manual mostly, but it keeps us busy from morning until sun down. If you're driving past the college, you can see our sign. We try to keep things straightforward. People come in, tell us what they need for their floors or walls, and we see what we've got in the stacks. It isn't complicated. We just focus on getting the stone cut right so it fits where it's supposed to go. Some days are slower than others, but there’s always something to move around or tidy up in the yard. We've seen Jhalawar change a lot over the years, but the demand for good solid stone stays pretty much the same.
