Our school sits right on the Jamnagar Rajkot State Highway. It’s a busy spot with trucks and cars zooming past all day long, so there is always a bit of a hum in the background. If you’ve driven between Jamnagar and Rajkot, you’ve probably seen our gate. The school has been here for a long time, and the building shows its age in a comfortable kind of way. We have a lot of students who come in from the surrounding areas, and the morning drop-off time can get a bit chaotic with all the cycles and buses. Inside the walls, though, it’s a different world from the highway. The classrooms are filled with the usual stuff like chalkboards and rows of desks where the kids spend their mornings. We don’t have any of those modern glass walls or fancy digital displays, just regular rooms where teachers do their best to explain the lessons. Most of the staff have been here for years, and they’ve seen whole families pass through these halls. In the afternoons, when the school day ends, the highway gets busy again as everyone heads home. It’s a practical place that serves the people living along this stretch of road. We don’t put on many airs or graces; we just provide a place for the local kids to sit down and learn their lessons. It’s just a standard high school where the work gets done every day without much fuss.
