Rastradeep High School

Rastradeep High School is over in Aram Colony, just across from the Maher Samaj on Aerodram Road. Jamnagar has changed a lot, but this area feels pretty settled. The school looks like most of the buildings around here, nothing that stands out too much from the street. We deal with high school students, so things are a bit different than a primary school. There is less crying and more talking about exams or cricket scores. The road outside is usually busy since it leads towards the airport side, so there is a constant hum of traffic. Inside, the hallways are narrow and the stairs are a bit steep. We have a small office near the entrance where parents come to ask about fees or marks. Most of the teachers have been here for years and know the families in the colony quite well. It feels like a small community. We have a playground, though it is mostly dirt and some patches of grass that struggle in the heat. During the summer, we really feel the sun coming through the windows. We try to keep things organized, but with a few hundred teenagers in one building, there is always a bit of chaos. Someone is always running late or looking for a lost textbook. It is a plain, functional building where we just get on with the business of teaching and learning every single day without much fuss.
