Shree P M B G High School

Our school, Shree P M B G High School, is out in Lalpur, Jamnagar. It’s a quiet place most of the time, except when the school bell rings. We’ve been at this spot in 361170 for quite a while now. The building is made of stone and brick, and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down on Jamnagar. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or high-tech gadgets in the rooms. Mostly, it’s just rows of wooden desks and blackboards that have seen a lot of use. The teachers here are mostly locals who know the families in Lalpur. We spend a lot of time sitting in the staff room, grading papers and talking about how to manage the bigger classes. The playground has some old trees that give a bit of shade during the afternoon. We have to sweep the dust out of the classrooms every single morning because it blows in from the fields nearby. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We keep a close eye on the gate when the kids are leaving to make sure they don’t just run out into the street. Life here is slow and follows the school calendar. We have our exams, our holidays, and the daily walk to the school. It’s just a normal part of the community in this corner of Gujarat.
