S Lala Ram Hs School

You can find S Lala Ram Hs School inside Chankya Bhavan, which is part of the Gujarat Ayurved University grounds here in Jamnagar. It’s an interesting spot to have a school, surrounded by the university atmosphere. We have been operating out of this building for a long time now. The rooms have high ceilings and the hallways echo quite a bit when the students are moving between classes. It’s a high school, so things get pretty serious when exam season rolls around. During the rest of the year, it’s just the usual hum of teachers talking and pens scratching on paper. We don’t have a big fancy sign or anything like that. People mostly find us because they know the university area well. The furniture is old but sturdy, and we’ve repainted the walls a few times over the years. I spend most of my day in the small office near the entrance, dealing with admissions or just talking to the staff about the day’s schedule. We don’t use any polished language to describe ourselves because we are just a local school doing our job. Sometimes the rains make the old building a bit damp, but we manage. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the students are prepared for whatever comes next. It is honest work and we take it one day at a time here in Jamnagar.
