S K Public School

Our school sits out by Survey No 99, right along the Jamnagar Reliance Highway. It’s a busy spot with trucks and cars passing by all the time, but once you step inside the gates of S K Public School, things feel a bit different. We started this place because there was a need for a school in this part of Jamnagar. The building isn't brand new, and you can see some wear and tear on the walls if you look closely. We fix things when they break, but mostly we focus on the classes. There’s always someone running around or a bell ringing for the next period. The wind blows pretty hard off the highway sometimes, bringing in a bit of dust, so we are always sweeping. We have a mix of students from all over the nearby areas. My desk is usually covered in notebooks that need checking or forms that need a signature. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. It is just us teachers and the staff trying to keep things running smoothly. Some days the power goes out and we just have to open the windows and keep going. That is just life here. We just want the kids to get their work done and stay out of trouble while they are with us. It’s plain and simple.
