Prem Nagar is where we set up, specifically in the Hardo Channi area near Sant Nagar Road. It’s a bit of a quieter spot compared to the big city centers, which suits us just fine. We work with food items, so our day is mostly about preparation and storage. The building is simple, just a place to get the job done. We spend a lot of time looking out at the road, watching for the supply trucks. If they are late, the whole day gets pushed back. It’s a very local operation. Most of us grew up around here, so work feels more like just another part of the day with friends. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably just find one of us in the back handling the produce or checking the bags. The floor is concrete and can get pretty cold in the winter months. We use basic tools and do a lot of things by hand because that’s just how we learned to do it. There’s no big strategy here, just making sure the food is clean and packed properly before it goes out. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps during lunch and just talk about the neighborhood. It’s a steady life, and we don’t ask for much more than that. It keeps us fed and keeps the community going as well.
