Khaleel Food Feast

Our place is in the Khaleel building over in Kralapora. It’s right near the masjid shareef in the Bagh Mehtab area of Srinagar. It’s a nice, quiet part of the city compared to the center where everything is loud. We have been here for a bit, and the neighborhood is mostly families and local workers who know each other. The building is simple, and we have a few rooms where people can sit and eat their meals together. Srinagar gets very cold in the winter months, so we spend a lot of time making sure it’s comfortable inside for our guests who come in from the snow. We don't have any big flashy signs or fancy decorations to attract people. It’s just a plain restaurant where you can get a meal. My cousins and I run the place ourselves. We don't have a big team of waiters or anything like that. Most people who come in are our neighbors or people coming from the mosque after their prayers. It’s a very community-focused spot. We don't use any professional marketing or flyers. Word usually just spreads by people talking to each other while they are out. The kitchen is small but we manage to keep it running through the day for everyone. We just like having a spot where people can come and relax for a bit. It is a humble business and we don't try to make it seem like more than it is. Just a local food spot in Bagh Mehtab.
