Jammu Darbar

Jammu Darbar is located right on the NH-1 at Stadium Morh in the Channi Himmat Byepass area of Jammu. Being on the bypass means we are right in the thick of the traffic moving in and out of the city. It is a 180001 pin code area, and it feels like a gateway to the rest of the region. We started this place to serve the people traveling along the highway. It is a pretty straightforward setup. We have a lot of space because we are not in the cramped city center, but the noise from the trucks on NH-1 is constant. We do not have a team of waiters in white gloves. It is just a bunch of us working hard to keep the place running. The wind can get quite strong out here on the bypass, and it brings in a lot of grit from the road. We spend a lot of time just wiping down the tables and making sure the front area is clear. Most of our guests are families on road trips or people living in Channi Himmat who want a break from their own kitchens. We do not follow a strict corporate manual. We just open up in the morning and stay busy until the last traveler leaves at night. It is a practical business in a very busy location. We just focus on getting the daily work done and keeping the kitchen going.
