It is a simple place in the Tq Ambad area of Jalna district. If you come looking for us, you will find a group of people who are more comfortable in the fields than behind a desk. We set this up because we saw how much we were losing by trying to sell our stuff individually. Now, we use the space at the house to coordinate who is bringing what and where it needs to go. Jalna can be a tough place to farm when the rain doesn't show up, so we spend a lot of time discussing water and soil health. It is not some high-level strategy; it is just common sense stuff we talk over while drinking tea. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. We just write down what we have and try to get a decent price for it. The house is always busy with someone coming in to check on their account or ask about the latest government rules for farmers. We try to keep things straightforward and honest because we have to see these people every day at the local market or at the temple. It is just us working for our own community and helping our neighbors out whenever the season gets a bit difficult for them.
