Yathashakti Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of G.No-257 in Bathan B. The name "Yathashakti" basically means doing things according to our strength, and that is exactly how we run things. We are a small operation and we don’t pretend to be something we aren't. Most of us are busy in the fields from morning until the sun goes down, so the office work usually happens late in the evening. We deal with the typical challenges of farming in this area—irregular rains, pests, and the high cost of transport. We started the company so we could buy things like seeds and tools in bulk to save a little money. There isn't anything fancy about our building; it’s just a place to store our stuff and meet up. We talk about the crops, the weather, and the local news over small cups of tea. Sometimes we have to travel quite a bit to get the produce to the right market, and that’s when the company really helps out with the logistics. We are just a group of friends and family trying to survive in a tough business. We don't have any polished brochures or big promises. We just put in the hours and hope the soil treats us well this year. It's a lot of sweating and worrying, but we wouldn't know what else to do with our time. We just keep our feet on the ground.
