Watermillion Farmer Producer Company Limited

Watermillion Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Jalna, specifically at Gut No 171. We share some space at Dhairyasheel Arvind Chavan’s place. It’s a bit of a drive out here, but this is where the work actually happens. The land around Jalna can be tough depending on the season, and we all know how the water situation gets in the summer months. That is actually why we picked the name, even if it sounds a bit different to some. We spend most of our time out in the fields rather than sitting behind a desk. When we do get together at the office, it’s usually to sign some papers or plan out the next planting cycle. There’s always someone coming by with a problem about their tractor or wanting to know if we’ve heard anything about the new government schemes. We keep things pretty simple here because we don't see the point in complicating things. The room where we meet has a big table and some old chairs, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we need. It is mostly about the people we work with every day. We are just trying to keep the farms running and make sure the families here have what they need to get through the year. It is hard work and the hours are long, but that is just the way it is in our part of Jalna.
