V D Giri Agro Producer Company Limited is located at 1-28-85/6 in the Mahico Colony area of Jalna. It’s a bit of a different spot than being right out in the middle of a village, but we are still farmers at heart. Most of us have land nearby and we use this location to coordinate our efforts. Being in Jalna means we deal with a lot of specific agricultural challenges, and we figured having a registered company would give us more leverage. We aren't trying to sound like some big corporate entity from Mumbai. We are just local people who know how to grow crops and want to get a fair shake. The office in Mahico Colony is where we keep our files and meet to talk about things like irrigation or which fertilizers are actually working this year. It’s a lot of trial and error. We don't have everything figured out perfectly, and sometimes we run into problems with the administrative side of things. But we keep at it because we know the alternative is just struggling on our own. We use the company to buy what we need and hopefully find better buyers for what we grow. It’s a straightforward approach to a difficult job. We’re just trying to make the agro business work for us and our neighbors in the Jalna district without all the usual fluff and empty promises.
