Talwada Agro Shetkari Producer Company Limited is located in Talwada, which is part of the Sillod Taluka. We run things from Bhanudas Pandurang Kharat’s place. It’s a quiet village where everyone is involved in agriculture in one way or another. We decided to start this company because we felt the farmers around here needed a way to coordinate their efforts. Most of the year, you’ll find us out in the fields, checking on the crops or dealing with the irrigation. The office work usually happens in the evenings when the sun is down. We aren't a big corporation with a lot of rules. We just sit down and talk about what’s happening with the soil and how we can get the harvest sold. It’s a very local thing. Everyone knows Bhanudas, so his house is a natural meeting point for us. We handle whatever crops are in season, mostly grains and whatever else grows well in the Sillod climate. Some days are harder than others, especially when the market prices drop or the bugs get into the plants. But having this company helps us feel a little more secure. We aren't looking to change the world, just trying to make sure our families and neighbors can keep farming without losing everything. It’s honest work, and we do it with the hands we’ve used for farming since we were boys.
