Suswarajya Farmer Producer Company Limited is based over at Plot No 70 in Kandari, right in the Partur area of Jalna. Kakde Jagannath Babasaheb’s place serves as our main point of contact. This whole area is known for being quite dry, and we spend a lot of time figuring out how to manage the water for our crops. It is not an easy life, but it is the one we know. We started this company because we were tired of doing everything alone and getting nowhere. Now, we share some of the burdens. Some days we are sorting through grain, and other days we are just sitting around drinking tea and worrying about the monsoon. The village of Kandari is small, so news travels fast here. If a tractor breaks down or someone has a good harvest, everyone knows by evening. We don't have a marketing team or people in suits. It’s just us farmers trying to navigate the system. The office is just a simple space with a few chairs and some registers. We spend more time outside than inside anyway. Sometimes we forget to fill out the forms on time, or the electricity goes out while we are trying to use the computer. It’s just real life here in Jalna. We work with what we have and try to get a fair price for what we grow. It’s a slow process building this up, but we are here for it.
