Shrirajyogi Ramdas Maharaj Farmers Producer Company Limited is located in Devmurti, which is part of the Jalna district. Ankush Ramrao Kolhe is the one who handles the main things from his place in the village. Our area is a bit tucked away, but we do a lot of heavy lifting here. The soil in Jalna can be stubborn and dry, so we formed this group to help each other deal with the seasons. It is named after the Maharaj, but our daily life is very much grounded in the dirt and the mud. We don't have a big office or a bunch of computers to work on. We mostly have notebooks and long conversations on the front steps of the house. When we need to buy seeds or sell what we’ve grown, we do it together as a team now. It saves us a bit of trouble and a few rupees here and there. The sun gets really hot out here during the day, so we usually start our work very early in the morning. People in Devmurti know us as just regular farmers who are trying to do things a bit differently by grouping up. We aren't experts in anything except our own fields. We make mistakes, we learn from them, and we just keep moving forward. It’s a long road from the field to the market, and we just want to make that road a little easier for everyone in our group.
