We named it after the Maharaj because we have a lot of respect for our history. Amol’s house serves as our main point for meeting up. We talk about everything from cotton to grains, whatever everyone is growing. Jalna can be a tough place for farming because of the water situation. We spend a lot of time worrying about the wells and the monsoon. This company is just our way of trying to get organized. It’s better to sell things together than to try and do it all by yourself. We’re not professional writers or anything, so we don't have any big speeches. We just want to make sure the farmers in Gunj get what they deserve for their hard work. It’s a lot of long nights and early mornings. We have a lot of tea and talk through our problems. It’s a simple life, but we’re proud of what we’re doing here. There’s no corporate fluff, just real people working the land.
