If you go near the Ganpati mandir in Patharwala, you’ll find Shrikalhasti Agrotech Producer Company Limited. We are located at Gut No.196. It’s right there in the Ambad area of Jalna. We’re a group of local farmers who decided to pool our resources. Farming in Patharwala has its ups and downs, and we’ve all had those years where nothing seems to go right. We started this company to have a bit of a safety net. It’s not a big fancy operation. Most of the time, we’re just sitting around near the temple or at the office talking about the monsoon or the price of cotton. We don't use big words or have a mission statement on the wall. We just want to make sure we can buy what we need without going broke and sell what we grow for a price that lets us live. It’s hard work and the days are long, but it’s what we’ve always done. We handle everything ourselves, from the planning to the heavy lifting. Sometimes the rules for these companies are a bit much for us, but we’re getting the hang of it.
