Our base is House Number 345 in Bhamberi, which is part of the Ambad area in Jalna. Shrichaitanya Agro Producer Company Limited is a group of us who decided to work together. It’s basically a bunch of farmers from the neighborhood trying to get a better handle on things. We don't have a polished office with glass walls. It's more of a practical space where we store stuff and meet to talk about the season. Life in Jalna is mostly about the land and what it can give us. Some years are good, some are really tough when the rain doesn't show up. We started this company because it was getting harder to handle the selling and buying on our own. By joining up, we can share the load a bit. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just talk to each other over tea and figure out the next steps. Sometimes we make mistakes with the paperwork or the timing, but we learn as we go. It’s an honest way to live. We’re focused on the crops we grow here in Bhamberi. Everyone knows everyone else around here, so your reputation is all you really have. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure our families and the other local producers have a fair shot. It’s everyday work, nothing more, nothing less.
