Shri Neminath Maharaj Agro Producer Company Limited is based in Talni, which is in the Mantha Taluka of Jalna. Our address is H. No. 751/1, right in the heart of the village. It is a busy little spot, especially during the sowing season. We are just a group of farmers who wanted to work as one. It is not a polished business with a lot of money behind it. We mostly use what we have and help each other out during the week. My neighbor handles some of the logistics while I look after the main records. We talk about the weather a lot because it dictates everything we do on the land. If the monsoon is late, everyone in Talni gets a bit nervous. We spend our evenings discussing what worked and what did not work on the plots. It is a very hands-on way of living. We do not have any big mission statements or anything like that. We just want to get through the year with a decent crop and some food on the table. The office is just a room in the house where we keep the files. Sometimes we have to travel to the district headquarters for meetings, which is a long trip for us. Most of the time, though, we are right here in the dirt. It is a slow process building a company like this, but we are taking it one day at a time. Everyone in the village is part of it.
