If you travel to Nandapur in the Jalna district, you can find us over at Vilas Sahebrao’s place. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say Shreeganeshaynamah Farmer Producer Company Limited, but we liked the name so we kept it. Jalna is a place where people know their neighbors, and that’s how we run this business. We are not some big city company with a bunch of rules that don’t make sense for a farm. We are just local folks trying to organize our crops and get things ready for sale. Most days involve a lot of tea and a lot of talking about the soil and the seeds. We don’t have a fancy warehouse, just the space we use at the post in Nandapur. It’s a quiet village mostly, but we stay busy enough with the paperwork and the logistics of moving goods. It can be a bit of a struggle sometimes to get everything lined up, especially when the market prices are jumping around, but we stick together and try to figure it out. We don’t have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure that the farming work we do every day actually leads to something stable for our small community. It is a lot of trial and error, but it is our way of doing things right here in our corner of Jalna every day.
