Shivrakshak Agrotech Producer Company Limited

Down in Zirpi, we’ve been farming for a long time. Shivrakshak Agrotech Producer Company Limited got started because a few of us in the village wanted to see if we could do things a bit differently. We are based out of H.No.16524 right here in Zirpi, which is in the Jalna district. If you know this area, you know the heat can be tough on the crops. We grow what we can and try to keep the soil healthy. Most days involve being out in the sun and checking on the plants. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation with shiny desks. It’s mostly just dirt and hard work. We handle agrotech stuff, but really that just means we look for better seeds or ways to keep the bugs away from the harvest. Being a producer company means we can buy things in bulk and maybe save a little bit of money, which is always a struggle for a small farmer. We meet up at the house to talk about who is planting what and when the trucks might come to pick everything up. It is a quiet place most of the time, except during harvest. Then everyone is busy and tired. We know everyone around here by name. It’s a local thing, run by people who actually live in the village and understand what it’s like when the monsoon is late. We’re just trying to get by and keep the land producing.
