Shivbageshwari Agro Producer Company

Our company is called Shivbageshwari Agro Producer and we are located at House Number 28 in Devi Dahegaon. That’s a small village in the Ambad area of Jalna district. It’s a pretty rural spot, so you won’t find any skyscrapers or big city lights here. We spend our days dealing with the realities of farming in this part of Maharashtra. The soil here has its own way of doing things and we have to work with it. We started this producer company because we felt like we could do more if we pooled our resources together. It’s a group effort, really. Most of the people involved are just neighbors who have known each other for a long time. We meet at the house in Devi Dahegaon to sort out our plans for the next planting season. There’s always something to do, whether it’s checking on the irrigation or figuring out transportation for the harvest. It’s not a flashy business. We don’t have expensive furniture or a receptionist. Usually, you’ll find one of us sitting at a wooden table with a notebook. We talk about what worked last year and what didn't. Jalna can be quite dry, so water is always on our minds. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. It’s a plain and simple life, focused on the land and the people who live right here in our village every day.
