We are the Shejul Brothers Farmer Producer Company Limited. You can find us at Post Shejuldidgaon in Sillod. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except when the work picks up. We are basically a group of family and neighbors working together. Being in Sillod means we are quite a distance from the big cities, so we have to be self-reliant. The office is just a simple building at the post address. We don't have any big signs or flashing lights. People know where we are because they know the family. We spend most of our time dealing with the actual farming side of things and then coming back to do the books. It’s a lot of back and forth. Sometimes the phone reception isn't great out here, which makes things tricky. We have to walk out to the main road sometimes just to get a signal. We don't really have a marketing team or anything like that. We just do the work and hope for the best with the weather. Every year is different. Some years the rain is good, and some years it’s not. We just deal with whatever comes. It’s a small operation, really. Just the brothers and some help from the village. We talk to each other in the local language mostly. English is something we use for the official documents. It’s a simple life but it keeps us busy. We don't have fancy office chairs, just some old stools and a wooden table where we do the accounting.
