Sevanagar Agrotech Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are a small group of farmers based out of Wadhona Tanda. Most of us have lived here our whole lives, working the same pieces of land our fathers did before us. Sevanagar Agrotech is just the name we gave our collective effort. Our office is at House Number 58, which is basically where we keep the books and meet up when the sun goes down. It’s hard work out here, dealing with the heat and the unpredictable rain. We wanted a way to manage our crops better and maybe get a better price at the market. Sometimes the monsoon is late and we all worry together. We share whatever tools we have and talk about which seeds are working best this year. It is not a fancy corporate setup at all. It is just a few of us in the village trying to make ends meet. We handle the seeds and the harvesting as a group now. It’s mostly about keeping our farms running without going into too much debt. Neighbors help neighbors, and that is how we operate. We are not big city business people with polished shoes. We are local folks from the 431208 area code who spend our days in the dirt. The company just lets us deal with the buyers together instead of being alone. There is a lot of talking under the old neem trees. We just keep going because there is always work to do. We don't have big goals, just survival.
