If you come down to Pangar Kheda and look for House Number 173, that’s where you will find us. We are Sawara Agro, but really we are just a collection of neighbors from this village. Pangar Kheda is a quiet place where everyone knows whose field is whose. We started this because we wanted a way to manage our harvests better. It gets busy during the harvest season, and the house gets filled with people and noise. There’s always someone coming in with a question about the soil or the weather. We aren't a big business from the city. We are right here in the mud and the sun. Most of our time is spent looking at the sky and hoping for a good monsoon. When the crops are ready, there is a lot of rushing around to get things sorted and loaded. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting sacks and checking the quality of the grain by hand. The office is just a room in the house where we keep the ledger books and the certificates. It’s a bit cramped when everyone shows up at once, but we make it work. We’ve had our share of tough years where the pests were bad or the rain didn't come, but we just keep at it because this is what we know and how we live.
