Satyashodhak Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Farmer Producer Company Limited is based at Varishte Bhimraj Murule’s place. We are located in Murti, which is part of the Ghansawangi taluka in Jalna. The name is a bit long, but it means something to us. We’re a group of farmers who wanted to do things a bit differently. Most of us are out in the fields during the day. We meet up at Varishte’s place in the evenings or when there’s a break in the weather. It’s not a polished business environment. It’s more like a living room where we talk about seeds and prices. Jalna can be a tough place for farming when the water is low. We try to pool our resources to make things a little easier for everyone in Murti. We don't have any fancy degrees or big-city experience. Just what we’ve learned from the land and our parents. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing and we have to ask for help. But we keep moving forward. People in Ghansawangi know where to find us if they need to talk about their crops. We’re just trying to look out for each other. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. We aren't looking to become famous or anything. We just want our little company in Murti to work out for the families who joined us.
