Sant Bharti Baba Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are based at Bhausaheb Udhavrao's place, House Number Mangujalgao in the Ghansawangi area. This is Jalna district. It’s a small operation, really just a bunch of farmers who decided to work as a group. We named it after Sant Bharti Baba. Most days, we are just sitting around the main room or out in the yard dealing with whatever crops are being brought in. There’s a lot of talk about soil and rain. We don't have a big fancy office building with a sign. It’s a family-style environment where everyone knows everyone else. We handle the selling and the buying for the group. It saves us all a bit of trouble. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up because we’d rather be outside than sitting at a desk. Mangujalgaon is a quiet place for the most part, except during the busy season. We’ve got some storage space for the grains and seeds. It's nothing fancy, just a clean, dry spot to keep the harvest safe from the rats and the rain. We drink a lot of tea and try to figure out the best way to get our produce to the market. It’s a simple life and the work is hard, but we prefer it this way. We just keep things running as best as we can with what we have. It isn't much, but it belongs to all of us who work these fields.
