We are over at House Number 344 in Ujjainpuri, which is part of Badnapur in the Jalna district. The company was named Rokadoba Maharaj Farmer Producer Company Limited, but the daily work is very much about the soil and the crops. Our office is just a room in a residential house. It’s where we keep our registers and where the directors meet up to talk about the accounts. Ujjainpuri is a small place, so word travels fast. We don't need to do any marketing because people just walk over when they need something. We focus on helping the farmers here get their seeds and fertilizers without having to travel all the way to the big city. It’s a communal effort. Sometimes the room gets very crowded when ten people show up at once to discuss a new government scheme. We don't have fancy furniture, just some old wooden benches and a desk that has seen better days. The walls are a bit dusty, and the ceiling fan makes a clicking noise, but it’s our space. We handle everything from procurement to basic processing here. It’s a lot of manual labor and record-keeping. We aren't some big corporation with a board of directors in suits. We are just local guys who know the land and want to make sure the farmers in Badnapur get a decent return for their sweat and toil. That is how we operate every single day of the year.
