You can find us over at Survey Number 83 in Raut Nagar, which is part of Ambad in the Jalna district. We called ourselves Research Agro because we like to try out different things on our farms. It’s not a big scientific lab or anything like that. We are just farmers who want to see which seeds grow best in our local dirt. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather and the soil. Ambad is our home, and we know the land here pretty well. Our office is just a simple room where we keep our files and meet up for tea. We don’t have a big staff, just the members who all put in the work. It’s hard to manage a company and a farm at the same time, but we manage. We aren't trying to be a big commercial brand. We just want to make sure our members get a fair deal for their hard work. Sometimes we meet under the trees when the office gets too hot. We don't use any fancy marketing words because that’s not who we are. We focus on practical things like getting fertilizer and finding trucks for the harvest. It’s a very local operation.
