Rakade Agro Shetkari Producer Company Limited

Rakade Agro is located out in Kasod, which is part of the Sillod taluka. We are specifically at Gut Number 77. It is a real rural spot, surrounded by the very fields we work in. We call ourselves a "Shetkari" company because that is what we are—farmers. There is no corporate board here, just a group of us who decided that we should probably start selling our stuff as a unit. Being in Kasod means we are right in the middle of everything. We spend most of our time out in the sun, so the office is really just a place to store the stamps and the ledgers. Sometimes the rain makes the road to Gut 77 a bit tricky, but we are used to it. We deal with whatever the season gives us. It is a lot of physical labor and worrying about the market prices. We do not have a fancy way of talking about what we do. We just grow things, pack them up, and try to find a buyer who will not lowball us. It is a tough business, but doing it together makes it a bit easier to handle the bad years. We are just local people from Sillod trying to keep our farms going. If you come by, do not expect a receptionist, just someone in dusty clothes who probably needs a glass of water. That is just how it is out here for us.
