Rahul Patil Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is called Rahul Patil Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are based out of H.No. 19 in Shivangaon. That's over in the Ghansawangi area of Jalna district. It’s a pretty rural spot, so things can be a bit slow. We don't have a big office building with glass windows. We mostly just work out of the house and the fields nearby. Life in Shivangaon is all about the seasons. When it's time to plant or harvest, nobody is in the office anyway. We are all out getting our hands dirty and making sure the crops are okay. We set this up because it made sense for the local farmers to stick together against the big buyers. Dealing with the markets in Jalna can be tough if you are on your own. At H.No. 19, we keep the books and try to stay on top of the registrations. It's a lot of work that doesn't involve a tractor, which none of us really likes, but it has to be done to keep the government happy. We aren't experts in business, just experts in our own land. We speak plainly and we don't try to impress anyone with big words. The name on the paper is just for the legal side. To everyone here, we are just the neighbors from Shivangaon. We hope to keep things going for a long time so our kids can farm too.
