P Sirasgaon Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our small group is based out of house number 56 in Pithori Sirasgaon. It’s a quiet spot in the Ambad area of Jalna. We set up P Sirasgaon Farmer Producer Company because we felt like we needed a better way to handle our produce. Most of us in this village have been farming the same land for generations. You’ll find us mostly out in the dirt, not sitting behind a computer. The office is just a room where we keep our files and meet up after the sun goes down. There is always a lot to discuss about the market prices and which crops are actually worth planting this year. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it should, and that’s when we really need to stick together. It isn’t a fancy setup by any means. We just have a few ledgers and a lot of shared history. Being in Jalna means we deal with some tough weather, but that’s just how it is here. We try to help each other out with equipment or advice when someone’s tractor breaks down or if a patch of land isn't draining right. It’s hard work and the days are long, but doing it as a collective makes the burden feel a bit lighter. We are just local people trying to keep our farms going and making sure we get by.
