We are based out of Vyall in the Balapur area. Our group uses Baburao Tukaram Katre’s place as a central point for all our activities. We are just local farmers who decided that working together was better than working alone and struggling with the buyers. The land around here is good if you know how to treat it, and most of us have been doing it for a very long time. We handle everything from getting seeds to figuring out where to sell the harvest. It’s a very basic setup. We don't have a lot of money for fancy things or office furniture, so we just use what we have at the house. Most of the time, you can find us discussing the rain or the market rates over a cup of tea in the afternoon. We try to help each other when someone’s crop isn't doing well or when they have trouble with their tractor. It’s a community thing more than anything else for us. We aren't trying to be some big corporation with branches everywhere. We just want to make sure that the people who do the actual work get a fair share of the money at the end of the day. Balapur is a quiet place, and we like it that way. Our company is just a reflection of the people who live here—hardworking and very practical. We don't make big promises, we just try to get the work done.
