We are based out of House No. 359 in Akola, which is in the Badnapur area of Jalna. Nilavati Farmer Producer Company is really just a way for the local farmers here to join forces. In our part of Jalna, we deal with a lot of different crops, and it can be tough to handle the selling part once everything is harvested. We use the space at post Akolabadnapur to get organized. It’s not a big corporate building; it’s a real home where we meet and talk about the upcoming season. We have a lot of members who bring their different skills to the table. Some are good with the tractors, others know more about the chemicals or the new seeds. We try to keep things simple. We aren't interested in being fancy; we just want to make sure our produce gets to where it needs to go without us losing money. The days are long, especially when the sun is beating down on the fields in 431202. We share what we know and try to buy things in bulk to save a little cash. It is a bit of a struggle sometimes to get everyone on the same page, but we are all neighbors, so we make it work. If you walk through the village, you’ll see our homes and our fields. We are just part of the landscape here, trying to grow things better together for the whole community.
