Masegaon Agro Producer Company Limited

Masegaon Agro is tucked away in the village of Mashegaon, over in the Ghansawangi area of Jalna. We operate out of Shri Anande Vishwanath Maroti’s place. It’s a very local setup, and that’s the way we like it. Most of us have been farming here since we were kids, so starting this company was a natural step. We’re not trying to be some big corporate entity; we’re just a group of neighbors working together. Jalna can be a tough place to farm because of the weather, but we’re used to the struggle. We meet up to discuss prices, fertilizers, and how to get our produce to the market without losing too much money. It’s a lot of talk and a lot of coffee or tea while we sit on whatever chairs are available. Our records are mostly kept in notebooks, though we’re trying to use the computer more these days. It’s a slow process to change how things have always been done, but we’re getting there. The name Masegaon is important to us because it’s where we live and work. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy things for us. We just tell it like it is. If you come by, you’ll find us busy with something or other, probably worrying about the next rain. It’s a simple life, focused on the ground beneath our feet and the people in our village who rely on it.
