Manjulavithoba Rural Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Manikrao Tehale’s house in Ghonsi. It is a small place in the Ghansawangi area of Jalna. If you know the roads around here, you know it is a pretty quiet spot most of the time. We are just a bunch of rural folks who decided it was better to pool our resources together. Manikrao has been around a long time and his house is where we all gather to discuss the price of seeds or the lack of rain. Jalna is known for being a bit dry, so we spend a lot of time worrying about water. Our name is a bit of a mouthful, but it represents the people who started this. We do not have any polished brochures or fancy uniforms. Usually, you will find us in our work clothes, probably with a bit of dirt on them. We handle everything from the planting to the final packing, right here in the village. It is a lot of manual labor and the hours are long, but that is what we know. Being in Ghonsi means we are a bit far from the big cities, but we like it that way. We just want to do right by our families and make sure the farm stays productive for the next year. It is about getting the work done and making sure everyone has what they need for the next season.
