Krushiputra Farmer Producer Companylimited is based in a small place called Subhanpur, which is in the Bhokardan area. We actually run things out of Shri Pandurang Devrao Gadhe’s house. We are a group of local farmers who decided to join up. It’s a simple way of working. In Subhanpur, everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway, so starting a producer company felt like a natural step. We spend our days looking at the sky and checking the ground. We don't have a lot of money for advertising or big offices. We just sit around at Pandurang's place and talk about what we need for the next season. Maybe it’s better seeds or maybe it’s finding a truck to take our stuff to the market. We aren't trying to be fancy. The paperwork is sometimes a bit much for us, but we manage. We don't use slogans or make big promises. We just try to get a fair price so we can take care of our homes. The life of a farmer in Bhokardan isn't easy, but being part of Krushiputra makes it feel a bit less lonely. We share what we know and try to help the younger guys coming up.
