We operate out of Ashti, which is a small place in the Partur area of Jalna. Our office is actually at the house of Shri Ganesh Lalshing Rathod. It’s a very local setup, nothing like the big offices you see in the cities. We started this company because we wanted to have a bit more control over how our crops are sold and handled. Most of us have been farming in Maharashtra all our lives, so we know how the soil works and how hard it is when the rain doesn't come. Being in a small town like Ashti means everyone knows who you are, so you have to be honest. We try to help each other out with equipment and advice whenever we can. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, but that’s just part of life here. We don't have any big slogans or mission statements. We just want to get our produce to the market without too many people taking a cut along the way. The paperwork can be a real pain sometimes, especially with all the rules we have to follow, but we keep up with it. It’s a humble start, but we’re making progress one day at a time.
