We are Krisiva Agro Producer Company Limited, and you can find us at House Number 127 in Devgaon Khtq, which is over in Mantha, Jalna. It’s a small village where everyone knows what everyone else is growing. We formed this company because we wanted to have a bit more control over our own lives. Farming is a gamble most of the time, and doing it together makes the odds a little better for us. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation. We just want to sell our produce without getting squeezed by everyone along the way. In Mantha, we have to deal with whatever the weather throws at us. Some years it's too dry, and other years the rain comes all at once and ruins everything. Being part of Krisiva means we can share the burden. We spend a lot of time talking about seeds, water, and where to sell the next batch of crops. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours in the sun. We don't have any fancy brochures or big signs. Usually, we just meet up and talk about what needs to be done for the week. It’s a simple way of living, but it’s ours. We keep our records in a ledger and hope for a good harvest every single year. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with the rules, but we do our best. We’re just trying to make it.
