This part of Jalna is mostly about agriculture, and that’s exactly what we focus on. We are a small group of people from the village who thought it would be better to work together rather than separately. Most of the time, our meetings happen on the porch or in the main room of the house. We talk about seed quality, fertilizers, and who has a truck available for the next trip to the market. We don’t use a lot of big words or have a polished way of doing things. It’s more about knowing your neighbor and trusting that they’ll help you out when things get tough. The company is just a way for us to be official so we can deal with the bigger buyers. It’s a lot of work, and sometimes the paperwork feels like it’s too much for us, but we stay with it because it’s better for the whole village. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We just want to make sure our families can keep farming these lands for another generation. Life here moves at its own pace, tied to the seasons and the crops we put in the ground every year.
