We started Gitarenuka Rural Farmers Producer Company Limited because we wanted to do something for the rural folks around Dhakefal. You can find us at Govardhan Kishan Chavan’s place, G.No.112/2. It’s in the Ghansawangi area of Jalna. We are mostly just farmers ourselves. We spend our days dealing with the same problems as everyone else. Water, soil, and prices. This company is a way for us to stand together. We don’t have a lot of employees. It’s mostly just us doing the work when we aren't in our own fields. The office is a simple setup. We keep our records there and try to stay on top of the government rules. It gets a bit overwhelming sometimes with all the forms. We aren't experts at business, but we know how to grow things. That’s what matters most to us. People in Dhakefal are hardworking and we try to reflect that in what we do. We don’t go for any of that corporate talk. It doesn't fit who we are. We just want to help our members get a better life. It’s a slow process, but we are making progress. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, you’ll see us working. We don't hide behind a desk. We are out there every day, just trying to make things work for the village. It is hard work but it is honest and it is ours.
