Ghatambari Farmer Producer Company Limited is located right here in Ghatambri, over in the Sillod area. We are just a local group of growers. There isn't much to say about us that you wouldn't see by just walking through the village. We work hard, we deal with the heat, and we try to make sure our families are taken care of. Farming in Sillod has its own set of challenges, like water issues and getting the right fertilizers at the right time. We started this company because it was getting harder to make a profit on our own. Now we try to buy things in bulk and sell our harvest together. It’s not always smooth sailing. Sometimes we disagree on when to sell or what to plant, but we always figure it out. We don’t have a big corporate office; we usually just meet up where someone is working. It’s very informal. We focus on the staples that grow well in this dirt. We don't have any big slogans or promises. We just want to get the work done and hopefully have a bit of a better life because we are working as a unit. If you’re looking for us, we are usually out in the fields from sunrise to sunset, just like everyone else around here.
