Ghanghav Patil Agro Producer Company Limited is based out of House Number 265 in Dongargaon. That’s in the Badnapur area of Jalna district. We’re pretty far out from the main city, so things are a bit slower and more traditional here. The company is basically a group of us from the village who wanted to have more control over how we sell our crops. Our office is just a room in the house where we keep the books. It’s nothing special to look at, just some old chairs and a lot of files. Most of our work happens out under the sun anyway. Badnapur is a dry place, so we’re always worried about the rain. We talk a lot about seeds and which ones are holding up better against the pests. It’s not a fancy business with a marketing department. We just use word of mouth and our own connections to get things done. Sometimes the roads are bad and it’s a pain to get the trucks in and out, especially when it rains. We deal with all that ourselves. There isn't any corporate polish here. We’re just local people who know the soil. We try to help each other out when someone is having a bad season. It’s a tough way to make a living, but we’re used to it. We just want to keep the company going and help the village.
