Farmission Farmer Producer Company Limited is located at G.N.387 in Georai Bazar. We are part of the Badnapur area in Jalna, which is in the middle of Maharashtra. Most of us here have been farming these lands since we were kids. We set this company up to give ourselves a better way to handle our produce. The office is pretty simple, nothing like what you’d see in Aurangabad or the bigger cities. It’s just a place where we meet to talk about the grain prices and the weather. Sometimes the power goes out, so we just sit on the porch and finish our work there. We don't use any fancy business talk or complicated strategies. We just look at what’s in the fields and figure out where it needs to go. Around here, everyone knows their neighbors. We help each other out with tractors and advice when things get tough. The soil in this part of Jalna can be a bit dry, but we make the most of it. We deal with whatever crops are in season, mostly cotton and some grains. It’s a lot of long hours, especially during the picking season. We keep our records at the Georai Bazar spot so everything is transparent for the members. It’s just a group of local people trying to make the farming life a bit more sustainable for everyone in our village.
