Farhan Agrotech Producer Company Limited is basically Sultan’s place over in Dadhegaon. We are out in Ambad, which is part of the Jalna district. It’s a quiet area, and most of us have spent our whole lives here working the land. Setting up this company was a big step for us because we weren't used to all the legal stuff and the banking requirements. But we saw that the bigger companies were doing better, so we thought we should organize ourselves too. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning. Usually, we just meet up at the house or out by the fields to talk about what we’re planting. Water is always a bit of a worry here in Jalna, so a lot of our time is spent discussing how to manage that better. We are just practical people trying to find a way to make agrotech work for us, even if it’s just in small ways. We don’t use a lot of big words or have a complicated plan. We just want to get our produce to the market and bring home enough to keep the farms running for another year. It’s not easy work, and there are plenty of days where things go wrong, but we just keep at it because it’s what we know how to do.
