Dharniraj Farmer Producer Companylimited is located in Kingaon Ambad. Dyaneshwar Pralhad Tarde handles things from his place there at house number A/P. It is a local setup where we focus on what the farmers in our area are growing. Ambad is a place where everyone knows everyone else so we don't need much advertising to get noticed. Most of our days are spent talking over tea about the rains and the soil quality. The company was formed because we felt that individual farmers were getting a bit lost in the bigger market. By coming together under the Dharniraj name we can talk to buyers with a bit more confidence than before. We don't use a lot of big words or have fancy brochures to show off. Our records are kept in simple ledgers and we spend way more time on the ground than behind a desk. Kingaon has its own rhythm and we try to follow that. If there is a festival or a big harvest everyone is busy and the company work slows down naturally. That’s just how life is in a place like this. We are trying to make sure the produce from our fields gets the attention it deserves. It is a slow process to build a company from scratch in a village but we are sticking with it. We handle whatever comes our way one day at a time.
