You can find Dashrathbaba Farmer Producer Company Limited over in Bhokardan. We operate out of Shobhabai Pandit Nirmal’s place. It’s a local effort through and through. We chose the name Dashrathbaba because it means something to the people around here. Most of our days are spent talking to the farmers in the Tq. Bhokardan area. We try to figure out the best way to get our crops to the market. It’s a lot of back and forth, and sometimes it feels like we are just moving piles of paper from one side of the desk to the other. Shobhabai helps keep things grounded. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy lobby. It’s just a room where we can sit and discuss the business. The roads can be a bit rough getting here, but that’s just how it is in our part of the country. We are not interested in looking like a big corporation. We just want to make sure the people growing the food get a fair deal. There’s a lot of coffee and tea consumed during our meetings, and we often stay late just to finish up the logs. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but we know what we are doing on the ground. We just keep our focus on the work and the people we know in the village. It isn't always pretty but it gets the job done for the group.
